The Management Team

The EZ Comp team has had the pleasure of working together for over 20+ years! Collaboratively the team has over 90+ years of experience in several areas of healthcare including managed care, provider networks, practice management, dental claim management, behavioral health and skilled nursing within the Workers’ Compensation, Liability and Commercial Insurance markets.

With Stacey Whidden, CEO at the helm this team jointly developed, managed and eventually sold the first dental claim management company in the market. This unique concept was developed by listening to the needs of the customer and understanding their pain points relating to dental claim management and the difficulty finding dentists to accept a work comp claim. Today, dental claim management is a common product that customers view as a necessity and offered by many work comp vendors in the market today however EZ continues to be the market leader in dental claim management due to the longevity of experience managing these types of claims.

What sets EZ apart from its competition? The team is like minded in that it stands strong on their grass roots philosophy of and simply, “its all about the customer, prompt processing of their claims and communication!” It is about making the customer’s life EZ by offering ease of use processes and customization, if necessary. Thoughtful development ensures products that incorporate value, competitive pricing and favorable outcomes.

    Stacey is a Tampa native and earned her Bachelor’s Degree from The University of Central Florida. Stacey has worked in the Healthcare and Workers’ Compensation Industries for 25+ years. As a successful female entrepreneur, Stacey has a passion for creating unique niche programs that provide a service for a need in the Workers’ Comp industry. Stacey has served on several advisory committees and boards throughout her career.

  • Leane St. Peter

    Vice President,
    Product & Business Development

    Leane has been in the healthcare industry for 27 years with the last 16 years specializing in workers’ compensation. Her expertise ranges across the continuum of healthcare allowing her to be successful in the development of several start-up companies where her focus has been product and business development including operational process development.

    I love being creative on any level both personally and work-related. It’s even better when there are challenges such as “it’s never been done before” or “making something better”. I am passionate about developing products that customers find value in and that make employees proud to be part of.

  • Leon Levy

    Vice President, Client Services

    Leon is also a Tampa native and earned his Bachelor’s Degree from The University of Tampa. Leon has been in the Workers’ Compensation Industry for 12+ years. Leon is a young, tenacious, and dedicated professional who has overseen service operations teams of 50+ to ensure a delighted customer experience. Leon is an Accredited Florida Claims Adjuster as well as a Certified Dental Assistant. Some of Leon’s hobbies include: bowling, traveling, running long distance races, and the newest tech gadget!

  • Brenda Whidden

    Vice President, Finance

    Brenda Whidden has been with Workers’ Health Solutions and now EZ Comp Care since its inception. Brenda has been in the Workers Compensation field since 2002. With such a unique business model and product, Brenda has developed billing and coding policies and procedures that are appropriate and practical for all parties involved. Brenda works diligently with financial software to ensure a streamlined process for the day to day operations of both accounts payable and receivables. As part of the Executive Team, Brenda has played an integral role in not only the Financial side, but Clinical, Provider Relations, and Sales components as well.

  • Brenda Caldwell

    Sales Director, Eastern US

    Brenda has been part of the Workers’ Compensation industry since 2000 and brings over 18 years’ experience in sales and business development to EZ Comp Care. In her current role as Sales Director, Eastern US, Brenda takes great pride in being part of warm and inviting team culture. Brenda works hard to provide valuable solutions for clients and their injured workers. Brenda earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Eastern Kentucky. Brenda is a member of several claims associations, risk management and professional women’s associations.

  • Terri O’Neil

    Sales Director, Western US

    Terri has been in the workers’ compensation industry for over twenty years in a variety of positions that have enhanced her vast knowledge and experience of the marketplace, and which led to her overall career success. After attending the University of Kentucky, she began her career in workers’ compensation as an adjuster but was recruited by large cost containment company for a sales position. Since that time she has been in sales or sales management in the workers’ compensation industry. She has a broad level of experience working with not only insurance carriers and third party administrators but employers of all sizes.

  • Casey Gimbel

    Director, Provider Networks

    Casey is a New York native that earned a Bachelors Degree from the University of Phoenix. She has been in the workers compensation industry for 15+ years. She worked 8 years at Express Dental Care and 8 years at CorVel Corporation as a Provider Relations rep and developed and maintained positive relations with network providers. Casey provided education to providers regarding agreement compliance, policies, and procedures. She also identified network gaps and negotiated agreements, and contract configuration for single case agreements for out-of-network arrangements. She is educated on all state, federal, and corporate requirements. Casey believes in developing quality relationships with providers and delivering excellent customer care to those providers. Outside of the office enjoys tennis, camping, and running in obstacle course racing.
